How like most innocent startups wanting to change the world they directed you TO the world through cutting edge search optimization that took the user to what you wanted, as fast as possible? Well now the fledging has suddenly become the bully on the block.

In a surprising court ruling, a Dutch woman has taken her estranged mother to court over her refusal to delete pictures of her children off of her personal Facebook account. The mother claimed that by her refusing to do so she is actually violating the EU's GDPR (data protection) law. She won.

When I started working on websites over twenty years ago, the World Wide Web was going to change the world in a positive way. We had the best of intentions: to create an environmentally friendly way to communicate.
