We all want our projects to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. We work hard on the work we produce and we want to make sure that our product is usable, appealing, and inclusive, but frequently an unintended bias or underlying assumption may turn an innocuous oversight into an inconvenience or even a barrier for the people we’re trying to reach. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel to increase your product’s appeal.
Reader's Corner No.38: Federal Court Rulings on Social Media Blocking, the World 10 Years Ago, the Future of Photography, and Part 4 of 5 on Managing Multiple Projects
This week we are sharing about unprecedented Supreme Court rulings regarding social media, the world 10 years ago, the future of photography and distribution for artists, and continuing with part 4 of 5 on managing multiple projects.
Summer’s here, and so is the humidity! Actually, it hasn’t been that bad so far, especially in the air-conditioned offices where we’ve been adding some certifications, continuing on with conference season, building new tools, and working with clients. Jay even took the time between the other work to submit a patch for Drupal!
This week part of our team is out at Drupal GovCon 2017, in Bethesda, MD, and a few others are enjoying a nice vacation. Even with the busyness, we want to make time to share a few articles with you! We have been reading about book clubs and shared group knowledge, part 3 of 5 on managing multiple projects, and passwords evolved for the modern era.
The weather is heating up in North Carolina; summer tends to show up early here. At DesignHammer, the heat and humidity cannot slow us down. We are kicking off the summer months with four Communicator Awards granted by the AIVA, prepping for summer conference presentations, developing new client projects, and supporting our local eateries (one of our favorite pastimes, yum!)
Here at DesignHammer we’ve been looking at ways to efficiently generate content and distribute it. You may have seen the Reader’s Corner and Monthly Update blog posts over the past few months; these are the products of this effort.
Spring is now in full swing at DesignHammer. We continue to work hard solving client problems, though are also happy to get out of the office and meet clients, vendors, and prospects at conferences around the country. We have been making submissions to awards, and hope to have some good news in upcoming issues. We even survived one of our local teams winning the NCAA Final Four.
