One of the reasons why I’m happy to be at DesignHammer this summer is that it is an excellent opportunity to learn about small business and entrepreneurship. I am grateful for DesignHammer’s support and help in my search to experience business firsthand.

Durham, NC (April 25, 2011) — Durham’s award winning web design agency DesignHammer completed its first employee food drive of 2011 for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (FBCENC) on April 22, 2011. DesignHammer employees donated 225 lbs. of food to feed the hungry in central and eastern North Carolina.
I'm excited to be presenting at the NCTech4Good conference in Chapel Hill tomorrow on Upgrading to Drupal 7, and thought I'd post my slides here and a few other resources for those who are interested. Unfortunately I don't have notes attached to the slides, but I'll be writing a complete blog post next week that will go into more depth on the topics in the presentation.
Durham, NC (April 11, 2011) — Jay Roberts and Kosta Harlan, Drupal Developers at DesignHammer, will be presenting at the 2011 NCTech4Good Conference. NCTech4Good Conference is an annual daylong event that offers information and networking opportunities for staff, consultants, and volunteers for North Carolina nonprofits and similar organizations.
DrupalCon Chicago is over and I'm back in Durham with the DesignHammer crew. It was a great conference; it's the first DrupalCon that DesignHammer has participated in and it won't be the last. Here are some notes about my impressions of DrupalCon and how it affects DesignHammer.
For all DesignHammer colleagues and friends, we have a special giveaway in collaboration with the historic Carolina Theatre in Durham. We have tickets to two great performances coming up this month, four tickets to each show. So that’s two shows, one with two show dates, with four tickets each so 12 tickets total (so many tickets!). Internet Summit 10 was a great success with a sold out crowd of approximately 1,500 attendees. Sessions included topics about The Future of the Web, Ecommerce, Email Marketing, Social Media, Mobile, Analytics & Measurement, Usability & the User Experience, Cloud Computing, and Social Gaming. Speakers represented national and local companies of all sizes, sharing their perspective on this quickly evolving world of the Internet.
