Jay Roberts and Kosta Harlan, Developers at DesignHammer, will be presenting at the 2011 NCTech4Good Conference. NCTech4Good Conference is an annual daylong event that offers information and networking opportunities for staff, consultants, and volunteers for North Carolina nonprofits and similar organizations. The conference will take place April 15, 2011 at the William and Ida Friday Center in Chapel Hill, NC.

At DesignHammer, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our processes. One of our goals for 2011 is to improve our business in regard to sustainability. While traditionally thought of in terms of environmental impact, sustainability now covers additional areas of business, including how companies treat employees, as well as profitability. To help us achieve our goal, we enrolled in the Green Plus program. Learn how we are attempting to put theory into practice.

March 18th — Every Friday at DesignHammer, we take time after a long day of designing cutting edge websites to sit down and have a gourmet beer tasting. Today Paul chose Blue Point Brewing Company’s Toxic Sludge for us to sample. Toxic Sludge is a small batch Black IPA brewed to benefit birds hurt by oil spills.
Durham’s award winning web design agency, DesignHammer, is adding a new service to their roster and making a fun iPhone app for Durham’s Carolina Theatre. The 10 year old agency has been expanding services greatly recently and iPhone application development is the newest in offerings for the increasingly mobile world.
