I'm excited to be presenting at the NCTech4Good conference in Chapel Hill tomorrow on Upgrading to Drupal 7, and thought I'd post my slides here and a few other resources for those who are interested. Unfortunately I don't have notes attached to the slides, but I'll be writing a complete blog post next week that will go into more depth on the topics in the presentation.
Jay Roberts and Kosta Harlan, Developers at DesignHammer, will be presenting at the 2011 NCTech4Good Conference. NCTech4Good Conference is an annual daylong event that offers information and networking opportunities for staff, consultants, and volunteers for North Carolina nonprofits and similar organizations. The conference will take place April 15, 2011 at the William and Ida Friday Center in Chapel Hill, NC.
Several months ago, the New York Times featured a story that shed some light on the inner workings of Google in dealing with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices that contravene Google's accepted SEO guidelines. As I read the story about J. C. Penney's SEO and Google's reaction, I began to think about SEO practices not in technical terms, but in business terms.

At DesignHammer, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our processes. One of our goals for 2011 is to improve our business in regard to sustainability. While traditionally thought of in terms of environmental impact, sustainability now covers additional areas of business, including how companies treat employees, as well as profitability. To help us achieve our goal, we enrolled in the Green Plus program. Learn how we are attempting to put theory into practice.
