A marketing Agency with limited internal technical web resources partnered with DesignHammer to bid on a rebranding project for an open-source technology company–who already housed an internal Drupal development team actively developing on their website.
Challenge
What would have otherwise been a straightforward theming update, the project was complicated by the active development taking place in the shared codebase. Without careful coordination, there was a potential for either team to overwrite the other team's work. Additionally, the website had not been developed nor maintained to Drupal best practices and the original implementation of a non-standard database configuration presented additional technical challenges. To complicate things further, a shift in internal Client priorities resulted in response delays to information requests and approvals.

Solution
DesignHammer began the process with a website audit to identify issues with the Drupal website that might impact the project. Once the project was underway, DesignHammer established weekly internal check-in calls with Agency and made technical staff available as needed for Client calls. Through these regular touch-points, DesignHammer was able to collaborate with the Agency and the Client's technical team to ensure that the changes were merged cleanly into the codebase.
Results
DesignHammer delivered the project on time, in accordance with feature and technical specifications.
