DesignHammer, Drupal and Government: Three Days in D.C.

Government entities across all levels are exploring the use of Drupal, a free open source content management platform, to power solutions for their web-based needs.

Everywhere you look, government is going open source — utilizing open source web technologies as part of IT strategy, as well as holding public hack-a-thons and opening data portals to solve community issues (Raleigh, NC, is an example of an open city in our own region).

Drupal is currently used by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the White House, as well as several international governments.

Experts in Drupal and government IT professionals will convene in Washington, D.C. at the Capital Camp and Gov Days conference from July 30 to August 1.

This year’s conference is a merging of two events, Capital Camp and Drupal 4 Gov.

Over the course of three days, speakers will cover topics in development and coding, theming and user experience, design, and business strategy, with tracks for all levels (the full schedule of conference events is now available).
