Google Considers Expansion in NC

According to localtechwire.com, search engine goliath Google is considering expanding its operation in North Carolina. Supposedly the decision to select the site for a 200+ employee facility has been narrowed to one of the Carolina’s. If North Carolina is selected, Gov. Mike Easley’s office has made a grant offer of up to $4.7 million if it will be built in Caldwell County.

Google currently runs a small office of approximately five developers in Chapel Hill, since 2005 when the search engine company acquired a small software development firm called Skia.
