Heatmaps are a helpful tool for understanding how to improve the layout and organization of content on your website. By embedding snippets of code on your website, we can track where visitors are clicking on the website. This is especially helpful in understanding if the large call to action buttons on your web page are actually drawing traffic, or if users are more interested in clicking through to different locations on the website via the navigation menu bar.

Through utilizing heatmap tests on the website for a duration of one to four weeks, we will have a solid understanding of which navigation items, images, and links are drawing your visitors’ attention. With these results in mind, we can then provide you with recommendations for re-organizing content and layout in a manner that is optimal for your website’s visitors.

Heatmaps are generally recommended as the first step in analyzing your website before conducting more in-depth usability testing.
