Well thank god for this post buddy. Really nice simple example of how to do this and something that works as a starting point of the shelf too. Thanks for taking the time, I was going to have a custom content type that anonymous users could submit but that took everything that was great about webform away and would have been a ballache to get going in a simpler way.
