We have hopefully had our last day of 90 degree weather for the year, and are looking forward to Fall. We have a few topics to share with you this week: the importance and history of punctuation, the 5 types of animation, and branch prediction in CPU's in the 90s.
Welcome to vacation season in North Carolina! We're taking turns getting out of the office and enjoying scenic North Carolina, or leaving the state (or even the country!) to beat the heat. While some of us wander the globe, the rest of us are still working hard. Whether sharpening our skills, getting the word out at a conference, or enjoying a cooling treat at Goodberry's, we're keeping summer fresh.
Though probably not as exciting as the eclipse, we have some articles to share with you this week! We are covering communication breakdowns, The Manifest podcast all about package managers, and color accessibility workflows.
This week we are sharing about unprecedented Supreme Court rulings regarding social media, the world 10 years ago, the future of photography and distribution for artists, and continuing with part 4 of 5 on managing multiple projects.
Summer’s here, and so is the humidity! Actually, it hasn’t been that bad so far, especially in the air-conditioned offices where we’ve been adding some certifications, continuing on with conference season, building new tools, and working with clients. Jay even took the time between the other work to submit a patch for Drupal!
This week part of our team is out at Drupal GovCon 2017, in Bethesda, MD, and a few others are enjoying a nice vacation. Even with the busyness, we want to make time to share a few articles with you! We have been reading about book clubs and shared group knowledge, part 3 of 5 on managing multiple projects, and passwords evolved for the modern era.
This week we are back in full swing after the holiday, and sharing some of our favorite articles from the week. We are covering keeping up with new technology, accessibility according to people with disabilities, 5 common project management mistakes with multiple projects, and AIGA design inspiration.
Happy 4th of July! While most of our office is out of town celebrating the holiday, we wanted to make sure to share some of the interesting articles we've been reading. This week we're talking about Google's visit and click data, how to draw realistic butterflies, a blog about culture and typography, and about the recent website accessibility case - Gil v. Winn Dixie Stores Inc.
The weather is heating up in North Carolina; summer tends to show up early here. At DesignHammer, the heat and humidity cannot slow us down. We are kicking off the summer months with four Communicator Awards granted by the AIVA, prepping for summer conference presentations, developing new client projects, and supporting our local eateries (one of our favorite pastimes, yum!)
After a busy week full of conferences, we are glad to all be back in the office together. We have a great variety of articles to share with you this week. The topics include: why well-planned projects fail, a year of Google Maps and Apple Maps, Trump's Twitter blocking and the First Amendment, and the complete list of Google penalties.
